Magdalena and Annalise visit Volks USA – February 9, 2014

By now most of the Volks doll collectors in North America have heard the sad news that Volks USA will closing it’s doors after March 16th. I took the opportunity to pop by earlier this month to avoid the rush of people visiting the store the last few weeks. My hubby, AlphaZ, came along with me and we brought Magdalena (Volks DD KOS-MOS) and Annalise (DD Rise Kujikawa) with us to hang out with InnocentSaké and her hubby, David for breakfast before heading over the Volks USA showroom.

The Volks photo-space was still set up for Christmas, so I brought some hearts along to give a  Valentine’s Day vibe. (I won’t judge though, I’ve been to lazy to take down my own Christmas tree >__<” ) InnocentSaké brought Melon (DD Mashiro Mito) and Yuri (DD Saber Lily) with her! We spent some time upstairs chatting with Vicky and Kimberley (two of their new staff) and shopping before heading down to goof around in the photo area.

Dollfie Dream Meetup in Toronto – July 14, 2013

Hot summer days make for great casual and lazy doll meets outside! Originally we wanted to have another doll picnic down on Ward Island, but we found out a couple of days beforehand that there were a lot of things happening downtown this weekend and on the islands that would have made conditions less than ideal for doll meet, so we picked a midtown location – Edward Gardens – for our gathering.

Dollfie Dream Meetup in Toronto – February 16, 2013

Oh my goodness time flies! I’ve been meaning to post about our last Toronto meet ages ago, but time just got away from me! A few weeks ago many of the Toronto-area Dollfie Dream owners got together at Go For Tea in Markham. This was our largest meetup to date (with 20 attendees!) but luckily they have a very big party room off to the side that was able to accommodate our large group! Casual Portraits

I had a short photo session with a few of my girls this morning since the sun was shining and I was awake! (Believe me, after sleeping most of January away, this was quite something!) The first order of business was to take a new photo for my website banner – I hope you guys like it! I went with a soft pink wardrobe theme since Valentine’s Day is coming up ^__^” ♥

Lily, Annalise & Médée on VolksUSA Blog!

It’s hard to believe that November has come and gone. It’s been an amazing month – I had the chance to meet lots of new friends in the Dollfie Dream community across oceans, I celebrated my birthday in London and before the the craziness of December and the holiday season comes upon us, I just wanted to look back at the beautiful autumn months with a few photos that were featured on the VolksUSA blog today. ^___^”

In other news, the Volks Dollfie Dream Xenosaga pre-order project for KOS-MOS and M.O.M.O. has opened and will be running until January 20, 2013. I’ve already placed my order – and advise anyone else that’s interested to do so too, this is a good opportunity to get a beautiful Dollfie Dream without having to contend with lotteries!

Last Saturday some members of the local Dollfie Dream community got together for a nice afternoon out with our dolls! We met for lunch downtown at the Marché restaurant and there was a wonderful gathering of beautiful dolls! This is an early group shot – a few girls came later ^__^”

Autumn Colours

The weather has started to turn cold and the air is getting crisp now that we’re in the middle of Autumn in Canada. This is one of my favourite times of of the year because the leaves on the trees start to turn colors before they fall and it’s very beautiful. There are some lovely old trees in my neighbourhood so I don’t have to go very far to enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage.

I’ve been waiting for the right weather so that one of my girls could wear this adorable coat – and Annalise was the lucky girl to wear it out today! Doesn’t she look lovely?

The days are also starting to get shorter – I’m noticing that the sun is starting to set earlier now.

Doll meetup in London, UK: September 3, 2012

Annalise had quite the jet-setting weekend! No sooner had she arrived home from her visit in Vancouver that I packed her into another suitcase and off we went to London, UK! I met up with fransgaard, GabrielVH, Jezatron, cookiedude_2332, Pink_Blaise and JRuzzy on Monday evening, at The Light Bar in Shoreditch for drinks and dinner. GabrielVH and I had brought Dollfie Dreams with us to our last outing in July, but the restaurant was very small and crowded so our girls didn’t get to come out of their bags! This time fransgaard helped us pick a more spacious location and the venue was actually fantastic. Fransgaard picked the Light Bar because I had mentioned that a space with lots of natural light would be fantastic, but the time we brought out our DD’s it had gotten dark! >__<” My little point-and-shoot camera is awful at night so I didn’t take a many photos as I would have liked. *sigh* Despite the lack of pictures, we had a lovely evening – and the DD girls in attendance were GabrielVH’s Moe, my Annalise (DD Rise Kujikawa), Jezatron’s Ryomou, JRuzzy’s Haruka Niimi and Pink_Blaise’s Inari (DD Neris).

I had a minor fashion emergency when I unpacked Annalise at the hotel – I had transported her in 2 pieces so that she would fit in my carry-on suitcase and somehow when I switched luggage her skirt got left behind at home! >__<” Luckily fransgaard came to the rescue by bringing a cute pair of Mai Little Alien jeans for her to wear. They are so much more stylish than my backup plan of crafting her a sarong with a bar napkin!

Mini meet-up at my house!

Today whitefrosty and Machiko came over for a little bit to hang out and play around with my dolls. Machiko’s yo-SD Sora was still at my place, but she also brought over the LUTS winter event head from last year to try out on Thaddeus’ body.
